About Me

Meet Wisteria

Wisteria Lisianthus, under the handle Wisteria Soda, is a vtuber, artist, and cosplayer. They are married and have two fluffy companions - a labradoodle (labrador retriever and poodle mix) and a ferret. More than anything, Wisteria aspires to express themselves and create freely; to put positive energy into the world through their art and other crafts. They aim to tailor a space where people can just be people, and where there is a positive impact on topics related to humanity - whether it be self-expression, identity, mental health, physical health, disability, etc. Wisteria is autistic and is proudly a part of Apple's VTubers with Disabilities group.

Why Label Yourself?

Putting a name to my experiences has been incredibly helpful to me while learning about myself. Not everyone likes to be labeled, and that's okay! But for me, it was very comforting to see that I was not alone and that full communities of people existed who could relate to my experiences. I spend a few hundred USD per month on my hobbies. Here's where it goes:⭐ Independent ArtistsI love to commission independent artists for vtubing assets, stream assets, art of my vtuber, art of my OCs, etc. Paying other artists for vtubing and stream assets helps me to focus my free time on my web comic and other projects.⭐ Small Makeup BusinessesI get almost all of my makeup from small businesses like Sushy Glow Fantasy Cosmetics, Sunset Makeup, Mooncat, and Slayfire Cosmetics. I intend to continue doing so, and would love to see how many of my products I can swap over to getting from small businesses.⭐ Local Tattoo Artist(s)I'm getting my first tattoo in mid-July! I commissioned my favorite ferret artist, Nashi, to draw my pet ferret as a king. I will be seeing a local tattoo artist (who also loves ferrets) to have it tattooed on my forearm. I'm very excited, but I don't plan to stop there! My next tattoo design will also be commissioned from an independent artist and will be of my dog as a pop star.⭐ Local Cosplay Convention & ArtistsEvery year I attend all 4 days of my local cosplay convention! I love watching it grow and thrive, and meeting other cosplayers and artists in my area. I typically buy quite a lot at the artists alley, and grab a bunch of business cards to follow the artists, too!⭐ NEW Initiative: Ethical ClothingI would like to ditch fast fashion and look for clothing companies that are more friendly to their workers and the environment. Introduction

⭐ Wisteria Lisianthus is a yami kawaii spectral hellhound VTuber. Their goal is to have fun playing games while also promoting mental health awareness and kindness toward others.The term yami kawaii (病みかわいい) translates to 'sickly cute'. Yami kawaii is a style that is meant to promote mental health awareness in a fun way, and often combines cute kawaii style with darker colors and themes related to mental health.⭐ They are inspired by cute dogs like Cinnamoroll and Blue, but also two folklore creatures: the black dog and the fairy hound.A black dog is a hellhound that appears as a shadowy or ghost-like hound with red or yellow eyes and sharp teeth. There are a few variations, but Wisty is based off of a Church Grim from English mythology.A fairy hound is a spectral hound that appears as a white hound with red inner ears, red eyes, and sharp teeth. There are a few variations, but Wisty is based off of a Hound of Annwn from Welsh mythology.⭐ Wisteria's backstory will be shared via web comic, coming soon!
